Pitztal news continued

February 28, 2009 - At 12 PM Plangeross and Mandarfen in Pitztal were closed again from the world, because of avalanches.

Wouter and Dries left for Mutters early in the morning to compete in the Tiroler Meisterschaften.  Unfortunately Dries put another DNF1 to his recent performances.

Alfons smuggled Robin and Nills out of Plangeross (after them the gate was closed) to leave for Garmisch Partenkirchen.  Tomorrow they start their juniors World Championships with the first downhill training.

Upon their return from Mutters Wouter and Dries accompanied by trainer Florian could not enter the inner Pitztal. In the mean time the other group with Astrid, Astrid, Sofie, Mendel and Arend were blocked in Mandarfen after a beautiful day of skiing.

Wouter decided to visit the unfortunate Luc who broke his clavicular bone yesterday.  He was glad to see a bright and shiny Luc.

Finally, both parties could enter Plangeross at 7 PM from either sides.

Tomorrow the same scenario is predicted.

The weather forecast is heavy snowfall coming from Italy on Wednesday.
